Christophe's Valentine's Day Present

I know what you are all thinking, it is not ever February yet. I know, I know. But I was sitting at work and I over heard one of my coworkers talking about a free 4 month old pure bred black lab that someone was giving away with a bed and food. Christophe has been wanting a puppy since we got married, so I thought this would be a perfect Valentine's Day present. I found out who was giving the dog away, it was someone doing a closing in one of our other offices and I called someone over there and they said they would give the guy my number. Well, the guy called and said that they didn't really want to give him away, but that he had young kids and the puppy got a little excited while they were playing and scratch his 1 year old. He knew that it wasn't the dog's fault, but didn't want to have to worry about him unintentionally hurting his kids anymore.
So I told him that I wanted it. I was going to surprise Christophe, but it ended up that the guy was going out to dinner and wanted me to call him and set up a time to pick the puppy after I was going to be home and it was Christophe's day off. So I called him and told him what I did. I don't think he really believed me at first, but was excited. So we pick up Buddy(their name for him, not ours) on Thursday night for $40(the guy wanted money for the bed, kennel, and toys that came with the dog).

Unfortunately Christophe quickly found out that he was allergic to him and I realized the next day that I was too. So sadly this blog ends with us having just put up an add to sell him on KSL. He is a very cute, good dog, though not house trained yet. And I think Christophe feels bad that we have to give him up, but maybe when we are in a house with a back yard we can try again. So if anyone know of anyone looking for a cute puppy in Utah let us know.

Nothing

This post is really about nothing. But I am writing this to keep Elizabeth happy. Sorry it is not once a week, but at least it is an update.

Not much is going on. I just go to work and then go home and veg. Work is so slow that I am so bored most of the day that when I get home I don't have much energy to do anything.

We did go to Wendover on Saturday night on the "Fun Bus". It is a bus that drives from Salt Lake to Wendover and then will bring you back to Salt Lake. It only cost $15 a person and then they give you a certificate for $5 cash and a free buffet, that cost about $20, and then a free cocktail, which I didn't use. So if we just went for the food it was worth the bus fair. Christophe and I did a little gambling. He played $15 on Roulette and then I played $5 on penny slots. So we spent $20 on entertainment. Other people that we went with we much luckier than we were. Christophe's brother David won $100 in the first 10 minutes of being there. Christophe would have played more tables but they didn't have any dollar tables, the cheapest table cost $5, and we have to pay Christophe's tuition this week, so those weren't an option. Anyways I will stop babbling, I'm just trying to pass the time so it will be 5:00 sooner.

Is this really who I married??

Really, I don't remember saying that I would marry this. Just kidding. Just a little background info. Christophe hasn't had a hair cut since June. Last Sunday, I wasn't feeling very good and I was being a little ornery. So in the car, on the way home from his parent's house, he said he was going to do something that was going to make me laugh really hard. So when we got home, he brushed his hair out, and this was the result. And I did laugh! Isn't he sooo cute?
OK, here is a real picture of him.

I DID IT!!

So, I finally started a blog. I am always on, reading about what is going on with family, so I decided it was time to start my own. It won't be as interesting as everyone elses, but here I am.
