We gave it one more try.

Meet Roxy our new puppy. We got her on Thursday afternoon and she is so cute. We were told that her mother was a pug and her father was a chihuahua/terrier mix. To me she looks like a miniature lab.

We are allergic to her, me more than Christophe. But we are going to see if I get use to it after a little bit. Roxy was 7+ weeks when we got her. We think it was a little early for her to leave her mother, but the sellers were, lets put it nicely, interesting. She does fairly well with not making too many messes for as young as she is, so that is nice. Below is a picture of her with Daniel to show how small she is.
On Thursday night we ran to Walmart to try to find her a bed, more food and a toy. The food was all to big, not much in the way of toys, but Christophe did find her a bed. However, she didn't like it. We would put her in it and she would just walk out, even if she was a sleep and we put her in there, she would immediately wake up and get out. The next day Christophe went to the pet store to buy her a crate which she utterly refuses to be in. Spoiled dog! So on Sunday we cleared out our laundry room except for the washer and dryer and blocked her in there and left for church. She was yelping as we walked out the door. We sat out in the hall to see if she would stop. After a couple of minutes, we decided that we couldn't go back in, that it would teach her that she could just whine and someone would be there to make her happy, so we left for church. We decided to check on her after sacrament meeting and she was still whining. We had no idea what we were going to do Monday when we were both at work.

Well some friends from the ward came over to meet our new dog and gave us a suggestion to put up a baby gate to give her more room. So, when Christophe left for work, since we didn't have time to go buy a gate, stacked her crate and a box full of books in the hallway. Before he even left for work she had jumped on top of the box of books and gotten free of her confinement. Christophe reworked a little and left. Roxy whined for about a minute but then stopped. Christophe was afraid that she had gotten out again so he went back in to make sure. He found her on her bed that she hated, chewing on her toy.
(this is not what he saw, but I thought it was cute)
While I was on my lunch break I was right by my place so I stopped to make sure she wasn't whining. I stood by an open window and by my door and didn't hear a thing, so I thought we were OK. But when I got home from work she was sitting on our couch. She had pushed her crate enough to get through. Smart stinker. Luckily there weren't any messes.

10 good things

So Mary tagged me to do this post, Thanks Mary.  It is 10 good things about my life.  However like Mary, I am not so good about sharing my feelings, so it won't be a very deep and emotional post. So here we go, in no particular order.

1.  Christophe.  He is the love of my life and treats me so well.  Even when stupid birth control makes me illogical and stupid, he talks to me and helps me not be so crazy.  He even has gotten my hopes up that we will get out of Utah.  He suggested that we go down to AZ, and while we are there, to look at houses to buy.  Though we don't know when this trip will happen, everyone at his work already has time off through July, but I am hoping we can squeeze it in sometime in June.

2.  The Pill,  or the not taking it part.  While I was taking "the pill" I was an emotional wreck.  Which happened very rarely while not on the pill and a lot more while on.  So I am happy to say that I am not taking it and hoping that my emotions will turn back to normal and that I will lose the weight I put on while on it as well.  Side note that I stopped taking the pill not to get pregnant, but to get rid of the stupid side effects.

3.  My Family. I love my family, they are my best friends.  I know I can go to them with anything and they will do what they can to help me.  I don't know where I would be without them.

4.  My In-laws.  I have gotten very lucky with my in-laws.  They are super nice to me and love me.  Growing up I was always scared that I would get the nasty in-laws that you never want to see or talk to. I am so grateful that I have nice down to earth ones.

5.  My Job.  Now I don't like working, but I have to be grateful that I have a job.  The way the market is now, there is a lot of people being laid off in other title companies.  My company hasn't had the layoffs that the others have though.  We have had people quit and one person get fire, but it we haven't had anyone laid off since last fall.

6.  Saturday.  I love Saturdays.  It is my one day that I don't have to be anywhere and I get to sleep in.  I love having this day to relax and sometimes go no where.

7.  Vacations.  I love being able to get up and go.  Disneyland was great and I can't wait to go again.  We are having a mini girls vacation in June and a big family vacation in July. I am so excited for these.

8.  Flying.  I love being able to fly places and not having to drive.  I love that it takes an hour and a half to fly somewhere that would take you 12 hours to drive.

9.  My car.  My car is such a great car.  In the 4 1/2 years that I have had it, I have only had to take it in to get fixed once.  It is a great little car that has great pick up, a must in a car.  And to top it off, it will be paid off in October. YEAH!!!

10.  Last but definitely not least, SUMMER.  I am so excited for it to be summer and hot.  Some of you probably  think I am crazy that I want to move to the heat of Arizona, but I do.  I am so sick of the stupid weather of Utah and the fact that it snowed on Thursday, which was May 1st.  Are you kidding me?  I love the sun and want it to come out and stay already.

Well I made it through.  So now I get to tag Tricia, Jane, and Elizabeth.

Disneyland

So, I finally made it to Disneyland!! YAY!! It was fun. Christophe and I went with Christophe's friend Brandon and his girlfriend Katie. We left Monday night and got into Anaheim and went straight to our hotel. (Note, don't ever stay at Extended Stay, something something Studios. They have horrible customer service.) We woke up Tuesday morning and got to Disneyland about 9:30 or 10:00 and left about 4 ish. This day my favorite ride would definitely be Space Mountain, although Splash Mountain was also fun. Below is a picture of us after riding splash Mountain, you can't really tell, but I am basically soaking wet. If you notice the trash can next to me, it says Waste Please. We thought that the way this was worded was quite funny, as if Disneyland was asking us to waste things.

Then on Wednesday we started off at California Adventures riding The Tower of Terror, which as a blast! After riding a few other rides and The Tower of Terror again, we went to the Aladdin show. This was very well done, and the jokes updated for our times. We then went back over to Disneyland. One ride that I don't really like is the Matterhorn. Christophe and I were in one car and my knees were smashing against the car with every jerk and Christophe felt like he had no room either, so my advice is not to ride 2 adults in one car, take your own.

Then on Thursday we just relaxed and spent a couple of hours at the beach. I love the beach and just lying there soaking up the sun. I did stick my feet in the water for about a second, but it was really really cold. That night we meet up with Katie's old roommate for dinner right by the beach, after which Brandon and Katie went to "look for shells along the beach." That is right, he proposed. While they were gone, Christophe started taking pictures of the sunset with his phone, so I took some on the camera for him.

Then Friday we just hung out and then walked around Universal City right by Universal Studios, and went to a movie and then finally we headed out so we could make our flight back to cold Utah. This is my first trip to Disneyland, if you made it through that, I hope it makes since.

MY NEW TOY

Christophe has had an Iphone since Christmas, and a couple of weeks ago, he found a new game to download. One that I have been addicted to playing on the computer, so ever since then I have wanted one. Well, Christophe had a feeling to get on KSL.com to look up Iphone, and he found this:

A brand new, still in the box, 4 gig Iphone for only $275. He offered $250 and the guy said that he would take $260. So we g0t it for cheaper than we if they were still sold in the stores. Happy birthday to me! This is my new phone.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I just want to say happy birthday to my cute adorable husband! He is 24 today. Man he is young. I also wanted to say happy birthday to Ian, my nephew, who is 3 today. Jenny is having a party for Ian today and when she called and told me about it, Ian wanted to talk too. So when I talked to him, I told him that it was going to be Uncle Christophe's birthday the same day as his. His response was "No, just mine, its just my birthday!" It was cute, Jenny was in the background trying to tell him no, but I just appeased him and told him that it could just be his. Happy birthday Christophe and Ian.

Anniversary

So Christophe and I have been married for six months. I am a little late updating my blog, cause our six month anniversary was February 17. Just about a month behind. I wanted to post some of the pictures from our wedding.

This one is of my whole family. Look how lopsided it is. My family is on the left and then Christophe's family plus one of his friends is on the right. I love it and my family.

This is really one of my most favorites. Ian didn't want to be in this picture from the beginning. These are all of our nieces and nephews. They are so cute!
